Just wanted to say what an awesome gig at the Carling Academy last night. The thunder from Down under certainly rocked Newcastle.

It was also great to meet the band afterwards and I've got to say what a great buch of lads they are, willing to stay and chat with the fans, sign t.shirts etc. Good on yer!!! and Joel...remeber what you said about coming back to Newcastle...the beers are on me next time!!!

I met Joel before the gig and ive met them all from Lamb of God to Machine Head and ive never met anyone more down to earth than Joel O'Keefe. He took time to sign my albums and talk to us. Plus I asked him if they were playing Hellfire and he said yeah second...my response was hell yeah and Joel asked if that was my fav song and he asked my name and he told me to be at the front because he was gonna dedicate it to me...Which he did and it ment the world to me. I loved it when he got up on the balconyAlso what did he promise about Newcastle?

Its really easy to meet the bands at the academy you just go around the back as early as possible and wait for them to get off the tour bus.

The majority of bands will talk to you some are arssholes i.e. Dave Mustaine :p

Yeah had abit of a chat with him and asked him some questions like are you gonna climb the stage at download and he assured me they would.

Plus the security were telling us Airbourne have been booked to come back in November.

No idea whats going on there maybe there going to release a live album and tour it.

Joel also said they get the biggest crowd in the UK so maybe thats why.

No, from the New Forest in Hampshire. Went to see the boys in Pompey (met them aferwards as they left the building) and at the Hammersmith Apollo.

I agree about them being bloody nice blokes. Only saw Joel & Ryan. Cracking guys.

Hi tthere, when we got our stuff signed I asked Joel if thry'd come back to Newcastle, he said yeah definitely, so I said don't forget!!!....looking forward to seeing them in November if security were right!
