I should Photograph you on Tour
November 12, 2011 3:06:15 AM UTC Post #1

Hey Guys:

If for every time you were told NO you can’t do something, would you just give up? If you don’t make mistakes, how do you know what questions to ask? As my late great cousin, Abbie Hoffman, of the Chicago Seven, once said “There is absolutely no greater high than challenging the power structure as a nobody, giving it your all, and winning.”

So here is my Question I will ask. I am a photographer who embraces photography in today’s media age with an old school mentality in which moving images can’t capture and evoke the feeling and emotion like a photographic still image can. Photographic Images allow the mind to come to its own conclusion yet can vary widely from individual to individual but her within lies the beauty of its power to evoke reactions. Moving images are not required to convey thoughts but instead you just need to stimulate your cerebral cortex with powerful images & allow your mind to complete the process to it's capacity.

I am seeking to photograph your band through my eye and my lens. I appreciate the hard working class of musicians and the working ethics of yesteryear and not the one hit wonders of today’s culture driven by fame and quick cash. So often today people need to be reminded of whom we are, where we come from and what it truly takes to do what you do and I can take them to a better place with the depiction of your endeavors through my photography.

If you wish to pursue this endeavor I would welcome the opportunity to document your lives for you & the world to enjoy.

Regards

Jay Rubinstein
