Maiden fan here, I saw Airbourne opening the Maiden gig last night and they were Awesome. I think they have gained quite a few new fans from this, including myself. |

I'm a big Airbourne fan as well as Maiden from my youth. Was really chuffed when I learnt they where going to open up for Maiden at the MEN on the 28th. I have seen Airbourne a few times since my first in 2008 at the Acadamy, and know how good they are, however, they have been one of the first support acts that have managed to really warm up the crowd and the Arena was more or less full whilst they payed, which again doesn't happen often. I completely agree with Dr Sin, they will certainly have gained a lot of new fans whilst they have supported Iron Maiden on this UK tour leg. Dragged my wife along, who is not necessarly a rock fan. She loved Airbourne though, but was bored with Iron Maiden. Great opening act and can't wait for the boys to come back to Manchester, hopefully soon. |
