The show in Toronto this year Airbourne played at the Pheonix hall was mental. Loud and intense, people moshing, however for the rock and roll, not just to be meatheads, everyone was chanting the lyrics to virtually every song they played, fuckin right this is what a rock and roll show should be about. The crowd was loud and crazy for a small venue, but the band seemed to be heavy into it. I fuckin wish there was some film, or a recording of this show around somewhere. How about a dat boys? Talked to a guitar tech outside the bus fer a bit about the band and what the last year has held for the band, then later in the show he was the one who hauled Joel on his shoulders while he was ripping guitar. Fuck Joel and his bro were outside the bus talkin to fans, me and my buddy were drinkin whiskey walking up and down the street but they were busy talking to this chick there so we figured we wouldnt be dorks and hassle them, though I regret that bigtime. Great to see the band gigging heavy and playing these festivals. The new album is the only one out there this year with more than two balls. Got the edition with the bonus tracks, though the boys produced them themselves and recorded them in aussie, the material is a fuckin wicked period of the band. Can't wait for the third record. Are these fuckers on vinyl? Play Canada again boys southern Ontario needs this music bad and theres definetly venues around to play these days and a bottle of Wiser's deluxe or two around. Rock on boys, keep the train rolling! |
