I'm 42 in a month and I used to go to gigs all the time, then work, marriage, kids got in the way. But these last few years I've really got a second wind. I love seeing all the old bands of my youth, was at the Big4 in the summer, saw Maiden 4x this tour, seeing Motorhead yet again in a month then Saxon and thunder in December. That said, there are loads of newer bands out there that I love to see live. Airbourne and the Black Spiders are possibly my 2 favourites and I've seen both on numerous occasions, but others I've seen recently that I am really getting into include Jett Black, The Treatment, Black Stone Cherry, Gentlemans Pistols and The Answer. Rock music today is in very rude health and things sure as hell look a whole lot rosier than in the Brit Pop years, when I thought I would have to take my record collection and lock myself in a time capsule for the foreseeable future. Long may it continue.
