» From "Best new sound Sensation since Def Leppard! Airbourne KICKS ASS! "DJ Rev St John"" // August 22, 2010 12:05:14 AM UTC
=DJ Rev St John said:[size=100]I have been a Pro radio DJ since 1977 and am a rock drummer since.. well - don't remember not playing. I have been playing Airbourne since a pal of mine that produced sound for them in Europe turned me on to them in 2008. Airbourne fuc*ing Kicks a ... No - they FUCKING KICK ASS! Best new solid rock sound since the early 80's
I agree. My first concert was at the Cotton Bowl in 1975. I was 20. The Rolling Stones (they were actually a great band back them) and other bands played. I've been hard at it since them. I am 55 years old and have seen 100 bands at festivals and God only knows all the venues I’ve been to.
[b]Airbourne’s debut CD is as good as was Van Halen’s and Boston’s. Their 2nd is also as good as VH's and Boston's 2nd.
On July 1, 1978 we went to the Texxas Jam in Dallas. Early in the afternoon Van Halen played. Not only were we blown away, virtually everyone sitting around us said at first, Who is Van Halen? By the time they were finished, virtually everyone sitting around us said, I gotta get their CD. We went to see Nugent and Heart, primarily, and they did NOT disappoint. But we left talking about Van Halen.

Airbourne's such a fresh breeze of rock compared to the stuff being put out today. They start a song quickly, they hammmer it, and they end it. They don't draaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag into a song like Metallica or almost all of the so-called rock bands of today.
Can't wait to see them.
